Tony's Mountain DaysIt is with great sadness that we bring news that Tony has passed away. As the hosting providor for the site we are waiting for a tribute from his family and friends and photograph of Tony to put on the site and it is our intention to keep the pictures available for everyone to enjoy. All pictures taken by Tony and Jean Sainsbury using an Olympus FE 310 or a Canon IXUS 95 IS. To see my latest pictures click on the 'Latestpictures' link. To see pictures from previous walks click on 'Archive'. Thurs Jun 30th. After a fine sunny start this past month has been largely disappointing with a lot of cloud, some rain and often quite cold. However, things did improve somewhat during the last week. With the surgery on my ankle now done I have been even more restricted at least for a while. Now just over three weeks on I am able to get about a bit but still only for short distances on level ground. So......once again this month's pictures have been taken during Jean's solo walks though sometimes accompanied by our friend Tony's dog Ben. My thanks to Trevor and Jennifer for this month's front page picture taken during their visit to the Lake District early in the month. Follow this link to Asset-ICT Consultancy Ltd. who host Eyeonthelakes and who I should like to thank for their continuing help and efficient service. A personally signed "Eyeonthelakes" CD of a selection of my walks is still available, it features more than fifty days on the hills and contains over 1000 pictures resized to 800 x 600 pixels for better viewing. The CD will cost £5 and is available from Fred Holdsworth's Bookshop on Rydal Road Ambleside. The CD is not intended as a walking guide but is just a personal record of enjoyable days on the hills. Comments and suggestions about my website are always welcome.tony@edinboro5.freeserve.co.uk I should also be pleased to hear from you if we have met on the hills at anytime but please indicate in the subject line where or when we met.
